GOOD LUCK STEVE WITH BARNY HOPE TO SEE HIM BACK RACING SOON :luck: :luck: :luck: :luck: :luck: :luck: :luck: :luck: :luck:

Ooooh Ooh what have i missed? has he had his "scaffold" off? :luck: :luck: :luck: :luck:

NOT MY PLACE TO SAY BUT HOPEFULLY HE CAN GET BACK TO WINNING WAYS

I KNOW HES A GOOD MATES DOG BUT WE REALY HAVE A SOFT SPOT FOR BARNY AND IF ANYONE CAN GET HIM BACK STEVE CAN

COME ON STEVE YOU,VE GOT OUR FULL SUPPORT AND HELP IF YOU NEED IT  :luck: :luck:

Cheers Mick i know that i have your support and it is very much appreciated --

I am really suited with the way Barney has adapted to dealing with this he has been a star --could not wish for a better dog --

the vets said it has healed really well and looking at the leg no one would know it was so badly broken or even broken at all it is now not the time to start rushing things

I would say it will be a long drawn out process so Barney and Shannon can go back to basics and i will start again as i would with a couple of pups--

little and often get a routine and stick at it

Once i start their training it will be with swimming gentle at first then sand work then traps and short bursts on track then we will asses the outcome and take it from there--

i think i was over optimistic hoping for Scotland

Now i am looking at the bend season for Barney

Not to sure with Shannon time with her plus advice from Keith our vet will play an important role ---

We are looking now at the costs of what Barney has had and it is approaching the 1500 pound mark

so a few more quid for swimming is neither here or there is it---

I will have to get Karen another job==lol--

whatever happens they will both get the best we can give them --

I believe they will reward us ten fold in some way or other --in fact i am sure they will ---they enrich our lives just being with us -

once again thanks for the support

steve

Very best of luck for Barney and Shannon :luck:

May they enjoy getting the best of everything

Very best of luck for Barney and Shannon

I am pleased hopefully we have got to the bottom of Shannon's injury ...fingers and toes crossed for her :luck: give her a big kiss :huggles:

she is getting lots of kisses Dee but the little bugger bites my face---or should i say nibbles it ----she certainly lets you know when she wants something thats for sure --

Barney had a trip to the vets Thursday and got the all clear to start with his swimming/training ect ---

We have had a change of strategy instead of swimming we took him to Myerscough Agricultural College ----

where they have a specialist water tank with a moving floor /treadmill style that fills with water this is much better than swimming as they walk in the water and it uses the muscles they would but without to much weight bearing --

booked him in for a few sessions and they also have their on site chartered physiotherapist should you require one--------

Vets has said take it easy for the next two months then he should be back to what he was prior to his mishap ---

his leg has healed really well its as straight as an arrow and he can see no reason at all why he should not get back to full fitness --

having had the external fixation method it does sometimes restrict the blood supply a little---

thats why we need the extra two months of going steady with him--

but all those who have seen him think they have done a really wonderful job on him ---

i have never seen any better and told the head vet yesterday when i thanked him---

looking good for later in the year---and start of bends --

-Barney was knackered after his first session and went to sleep on couch whilst i was filling forms in lol.

if this works well for Barney Shannon will be booked in for a few sessions ---
