The Derbyshire Lurchers & Longdogs will be holding a Lurcher & Terrier event at Catton Park Game Keepers Fair., Walton on Trent DE12 8LN.on Saturday & Sunday 9th & 10th April.

Saturday features Simulated coursing followed by U23" & O23" 100 yds Dash & Straight racing for lurchers entries taken from 10a.m. start when 1st coursing card is full. Sunday's events entries start at 9.30a.m with Simulated coursing followed by U23" & O23" 100 yds Dash & Straight racing. Showing for lurchers & terriers starts at 1pm. Qualifier for Countrymans Weekly, Pride of the Peaks, Cock of the North, Earth Dog & Bull XChamps, EAJRC Champs & Heart of Wales Champs for lurchers & terriers. Also Qualifier for Lurcherworld racing, showing and 100yds Dash finals for lurchers

Hi there

The lurcher & terrier show has a separate entrance and its free to get in, you only pay if you want to go through to the fair itself. Entry into the dash is £2 per run, hope that answers your questions

I had a good day out with great company as always.

It was great fun waching the coursing and racing.

i would like to thank "ann" for slipping walter for me - even if he was a wriggly worm and set off at such an angle he missed the start gates ......

will be practicing this and definately more work on his recall which although is improving slightly at home is absolutely awful when he is out and wants to run and run and run!

Glad you all enjoyed it, many thanks to all those who helped run the events and to everyone who attended. Thanks to Lurcherworld for helping with the running events and doing the 100yds Dash. We were over the moon with Gemma & Jade on Saturday when they took Champion & Reserve in the Dash Gemma winning in a new record time of 4.80 and Jade doing 4.84. On Sunday Gemma did 4.82 to win but we passed on the trophy and rosette as we only wanted to run them as some friends who were there wanted to see them run.

Once again a huge thank you to everyone who helped and took part to make another enjoyable weekend.
