This afternoon some one knocked at my front door, I heard the dog bark but did not hear the knock on the door, I went to check who it was, parked outside was a green pick up with a concrete mixer etc inthe back of it, there was a man sat in the cab and another knocking on my door and having a good look around my front, he said "hi I have come to see the lurchers that are for sale" I said "I have not got any lurchers who told you that" ? he said "some one up the road they said corner house and a caravan parked in the corner" I said "sorry mate I aint got no lurchers only little whippets" had to say that cos by now they were barking grrrrr....after seeing the travellers up Scotland this year I have to say they reminded me of them.

I am now locking doors and closing windows as scared my dogs may go missing

EVERYONE be aware that there are some unsavoury peeps around.

ps I live 2 miles from where Tilly was taken?

Well done you for standing up for yourself and your dogs.

I can't blame you one bit for locking the doors and windows.

I wonder is it worth going to the police to report this????

A few years back,,Jed (Pay Back) was in the front garden, the front door was open. He was just walking around and I was in the kitchen. About 5 mins later a knock at the door. One of my neighbours and Jed was standing beside her :) . She told me, she seen a man pick Jed up, over the gate and was holding him  ,,she called out to him asking what he was doing with the dog :) . The man dropped Jed and ran off down the road  . Gail said she was getting out her car and never even seen him at the gate, so he must have been hiding  .

Im so glad she was just arriving home :D as I would never had known

My dogs only get out in the back garden now and they dont like strangers and bark. They still dont like the new ones who moved here in June :b

thats bad i think i would do the same if i was in ur pastion then u know ur safe. when some polish people moved down the roud from me i was a bit scared to start with as i have never expernced some one other than english people living in my street so i use to keep the doors locked when my mam and dad went out and know i know they are no bother.
