Hi there, I've just posted in the 'introductions' section as I'm new to the forum. Me and my fiance are currently waiting on permission from our landlord to get a dog, we have decided that we want a Beagle as we think this would be the perfect breed for our family! we have a 5 year old daugher and our son is 11 months old, we've heard they're great dogs to have with children! we've been trying to do as mucn research as possible but I've read its really best to talk to people who have actually owned Beagle's as they will know best! so any info is welcome! How much do they eat a day and what food is best? how much exercise do they need? are they really as hard to train as people say they are? I read somewhere today that Beagle's arent the dog for you if you like things tidy and clean which worried me because I'm somewhat of a clean freak! I appreciate dogs dont really care what your house looks like so I am gona have to make sacrifices but will my house be torn apart? do they bark/howl a lot? like I said, literally anything will be helpful! Also I should mention we're not looking to get a puppy as we feel a slightly older dog would suit us better!

Thanks in advance, sorry for the super long post!

Hiya, I have had beagles for 12 years, I'm at work just now so don't have time to answer all your questions, but I will come back to you with an even longer post than you posted LOL :flowers:
