BEAU

Beau is a 3 year old greyhound girl. She has a pretty pale fawn coat with black mascara eyes and an unusual spotty muzzle.

Beau loves people and has a waggy tail for everyone who comes to her kennel. She adores getting fussed over and would stand for her cuddles all day long if she could! We feel Beau might be better as an only dog as she is very people orientated and can get grumpy if other dogs invade her space. New owners will need to understand that she has never been in a home environment before, so will take a couple of weeks to get used to the house rules. :)

**UPDATE 07/2010**

Beautiful Beau has travelled across to the UK now to find her forever home there. She is a delightful little girl, full of fun and really loves being around people. All the good food she’s received over the last few months have really made a difference her, and she is in fantastic condition right now. Her coat is beautifully smooth and glossy, satin soft to the touch.

Beau walks nicely on the lead and is good at passing by other dogs while out on walks. She went to the beach recently and behaved very well, though she didn’t like walking on the seashells! Her grumpiness with other dogs has decreased and with continued training we feel she will get better and better. She may be suitable to live with another laid back dog who won’t mind if she gets in a strop.

Like most greyhounds, Beau will not need a huge amount of exercise. She will be content with two 20min walks a day and perhaps a chance to stretch her legs offlead in a secure area once or twice a week.

In general greyhounds are calm, mannerly dogs that are well used to being handled. They can fit very well in to a wide range of different lifestyles and usually adjust to the home life very quickly. Their soft, easy going nature often makes them ideal to live in a family with children, while their love of lazing around and low exercise requirements can make them perfect for the elderly. Greyhounds also don’t shed as much as other more popular dog breeds and this can make them suitable to live with allergy sufferers.

This pretty girl is currently in kennels in Norfolk, UK where she is waiting to be adopted. She is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and a homecheck will be required as part of the adoption procedure.

If you are interested in fostering or adopting Beau, please email me on tamakin_84@yahoo.co.uk for our adoption application and information pack. Thanks!
