Thanks to everyone who has tipped Zak- One's Cushti Bok to take the 35lb class at the fed bend championships this weekend, unfortunately he will not be competing as he injured himself at the Show The World Open on the 14th Oct. We knew something was wrong with him as he flew up to the bend and then seemed to be checking up all the way around the bend, then went into the lead on the straight only to ease again just before the line. After being examined by J Oconnor vet it transpires that he must have discolated a toe on his front foot as he went into the first bend, he also tore a muscle in his right shoulder. On his advice the leg has been strapped up to allow the tendons and would to heal, then on the 1st Nov he will operate on the toe, ironically this is the same toe and same operation his grandmother Nch rch cushti had done, we only hope his turns out successfully as hers did. Good Luck to all you other competitors, most of all may your dogs be injury free Tony Sue Vera
