Out of curiosity with of the following bend tracks do you prefer and why?

Askern,. because of the surface and to be honest its on my doorstep. And Westhoughton comes a close second.

Westhoughton Track reminds me a little bit of Spennymoor Track

askern is a mint track, but i do like the further race distance of westy. highgate is a bit up and down running surface.

Asken for the Commentary :D plus the huge effort that they make for us

has this poll got something to do with nnwrf bend champs?

Obviously i'm gonna go with Wessy :D

You don't really get a fair poll on k9 anyway coz there's that many people got more than one account it doesn't give you an accurate number so it's pretty pointless, if people added to a thread you might get more of an idea.

Askern or Wessy would be fine by me, Highgate IMO is not a championship venue but then if it all comes down to money well.....................!

Being as none of my dogs bend race i will not be voting.

If the object of the vote is to decide on a bend track for the championships then other than being on my doorstep have to be looked at.

A central position for all racers, cost to those concerned, ie track and hirers and cost to those who race, entry fees and what is paid out.

The owner of the track must be content on what he will make from the hire of the track and what he sells in food and drink on the day.

The hirer of the track must have to be content with the gate money they charge plus the entry fee they charge to pay out for trophies and money for classes etc.

The racers have to be content that their entry fee and cost of food and drink are value for money, and the pay out.

If all of these things come together then a good meeting is guaranteed, if on the other hand one of the above three do not meet the approval of either the racers, the track owner, or the hirer then it will not be a good meeting or no meeting if it is the track owner who is light.

You sound like politician John :D

askern great surface , nice bloke who owns it, easy going atmosphere . and definently the commentary. and not to long for the whippeys must be the best venue for the future   only problem jaspers dog bowls need moving back :- " :luck: highgates undulating surface does suit my dog . never run at wessy but it looks ok.

This poll was just me been curious about the 3 named tracks and as Vicky stated poll are never accurate on here as some people have more than 1 user name..

So lets hope no body think this topic was started to cause any ill feeling about the champs or tracks.

Over the next few weeks the nnwrf committee will be deciding on where we will be holding the bend champs...

And as John Meads has already posted what need taken into consideration i used his reply and quoted it
