BERRY and BUDDY
Berry and Buddy are two lurcher x pups born on the 29th December. Berry is a mostly brown girlie and Buddy is her black white and tan brother. Their dear mother was found straying and heavily pregnant with a badly dislocated front leg. These two little pups are extremely fortunate she was picked up when she was, or they may not have survived.
Berry and Buddy will be ready to go to their new homes at the end of February, but we are taking applications for them now. Their mother is a whippet x lurcher, but we have no idea who the father was. These pups are still a bit too small to make an estimate on their future size and the jury is still out as to what breed the father was!
These two little dotes are happy and healthy, full of fun and mischief. They are thoroughly exploring and testing every nook and cranny of their foster home, and have just discovered how useful little pointy teeth can be! They really are little bundles of joy and are sure to make fantastic family pets.
Berry and Buddy are sharing their foster home with their mother and several other dogs including greyhounds and a small terrier. They are also suitable to live in a home with cats. They can be homed separately.
Like all young puppies, Berry and Buddy will need someone home most of the time, especially when they are still so young. They will need their new homes to be puppy-proofed prior to their arrival, and we would strongly recommend their new owners take them to puppy classes to help them stay well-rounded and socialised. Puppies can be quite a handful at first, and really do need training and boundaries put in place from day one to prevent behavioural problems developing in the future. With a bit of work and training, these pups will grow up to be fabulous, confident hounds who will be sure to make their owners proud.
Berry and Buddy are currently in foster care in Co. Kerry, Ireland, and can be transported via Kerry Greyhounds to the UK if a suitable home offer comes up. This will be organised and paid for by Kerry Greyhounds, and we ask only for a donation to help cover costs. Please note that adopters will need to travel to our nearest collection point to pick them up, and if you wish to meet before adopting them, they will be fostered in the Norfolk area.
Adopters of Berry and Buddy will need to sign an agreement to have them neutered once they are old enough (at approx 6 mths) and we will check back to ensure this is done. They will be vaccinated, microchipped, de-flea'd and wormed before going to their new homes, and a homecheck will be required as part of the adoption procedure.
If you are interested in adopting little boy Buddy or his sister Berry, please email me on tamakin_84@yahoo.co.uk for our adoption application form and information pack. Emails are usually replied to within 24 hrs. Thanks!
