One of our lot loves to give "huggies", she puts her nose down my cleavage and her front legs around my neck and wonders why she has to come up gasping for air!

The closest Jasper comes to a hug is standing right in front of you and burying his nose in your groin while you stroke his ears. His favourite time to do this is when OH is getting dressed and hasn't put his boxers on yet... Watching OH desperately trying to avoid that cold nose is hilarious!

One of my dogs (now sadly no longer with us) was just the right size to curl round my neck like a fur collar, with his cold wet nose in one ear and something warm and damp in the other.
