Today out walking we entered an area where there are Goats on the loose and signs up to keep your dog on a lead.
Thank goodness Pippa had her harness on and was leaded up.
We walked over a concrete flat ‘bridge’ over a very fast running small river there was only one place for the water to get from one side of ‘bridge’ to the other-a reasonable sized hole!
Pippa loves water and decided this was the time to jump in, she hit the water which wasn’t that deep but the pull of the current got the better of her and started to drag her down the hole, she was swimming frantically but you could only see the top of her head.
Luckily as I said “Thank goodness Pippa had her harness on and was leaded up.” Hubby pulled as hard as he could then managed to get hold of the harness and pull her out!
Didn’t phase her tho next bit of river there she was paddling again!
It gave us a bit of a shock, we don’t always take her out in her harness and she’s not always on her lead, this will make us think twice!

What a shock! Dogs teach us so many things, including expecting the unexpected and "if it can go wrong, it will, and if it can't go wrong, it still will!".

Glad all is well after that adventure.
