our bitch is in season we are hoping to have a litter from her,she has now been in season 11 days she has had tests at vets to find the best day but still nothing yet how long usually before they are ready,we were told around 12 days

we had test again today still her reading was very low

My bitch was mated on 13 and 15 days, however i found the tests i had done at the vets were very hit & miss and amounted to nothing. Best to let her spend a bit of time with a mature male, that will give you an idea of whether she's ready or not.

one of my bitches mated on day 10 the other wouldn't give the dog the time of day until she was 15 days and then only mated the once she wouldn't let him near her on any other day
