Well here she is the one eyed wonder in all her glory. It took forever to scan this piccy as my scanner decided that the piccy was horrible and made excuses like memory full. But hey here she is now ...

yes she is nice. bye the way pat that looks like a future champion on your avatar, well bred i bet too :D ;)

A visit to the vets today did not bring us good news ...

Kerri is suffering from swollen glands and a throat infection (doggy tonsilitis 2 u and me) and is on anti-biotics.

Blaze however has to have her eye taken out ... the blindness was caused by Glaucoma, not a common condition in whippets(phew!) but that is not the bad news, the bad news is that sadly the other eye could suffer the same fate at some stage, it would happen all of a sudden and there is nothing to be done about it. We will continue with Blaze's training and hopefully she will get a good life and feel the joy of racing into her later life. The "good eye" is said to be in very good condition so fingers X-ed for the future ...

Very sorry to hear about both your dogs fleesh, hopefully blaze's good eye will make up for her bad one & she'll still be able to race - even if it's only at club level, it's better than nowt!!

Sad news Fleesh, Im sure Kerri will be better soon. And the pup is such a happy little mite she we enjoy her racing with one eye. GOOD LUCK with her.

I hope blaze is feeling ok......hope everything works out well for her

sorry to hear kerry is still poorly fleesh, let's hope the antibiotics soon work and she is soon back to her normal self.....i hope blaze will race for you, she is so lovely...... :p

With one eye the pup will probably run straight as an arrow...who knows good luck....

Well operation is over ... we had a call a good 2 hrs before we were due to collect her ...

"Collect Blaze NOW she is howling the place down !!!" (typical Blaze)

The bleeding has nearly stopped and we are back tomorrow for the final check ... she is milking the "poorly puppy" act for all it is worth (again typical Blaze ).

She looks ever so funny walking around in her head collar and poor Kerri is constantly checking to make sure this new mutant growth is really Blaze and not a monster (typical scaredy Kerri).

Oh and final note ... Kerri is well and (un)officially back in the racing ... see you at Worcester on Saturday ...

Good luck, shes running well.

:D thats a nice ending to that story fleesh I hope she wins loads more for you. :luck: :luck: :luck:
