It is with much sadness that I write this post to say that my very own "racing stripes" BLAZE has sustained such injury

that his racing career and indeed his ability to run in an extended manner has been ended.

His injuries to pectinaeus muscle, groin, hip and immediate area are such that they are final and he now finds himself in the

twilight area where so many racing greyhounds also find themselves.

It will be a period of 1 - 4 months before the final outcome on his limited mobility but he is well in himself and I hope he

will adjust to a more sedate way of life than he previously enjoyed.

I therefore take this opportunity to wish all our racing friends, adversaries & all who race their dogs

THE BEST OF LUCK IN THE WORLD

I hope they all return safely to you and gain the success they deserve.

Special THANK YOU 's go to people who helped me along the way including, in no particular order of importance:paddy Weaver,Andy Kirk,

Paul Macey - slippers extrodinaire!!

There are many more friends who applauded my boy Blaze along the way...too many to mention but you know who you are

and I thank you for your sportsmanship and generosity of spirit.

Gary, myself & the boys BLAZE & MERLIN will continue to attend the racing & shows albeit in a watchful manner...don't get rid of me that quick!!

Look forward to seeing you all soon.

Oh Linda!!

That is so sad.I think you were sort of expecting it would be bad news.

Blaze(and Merlin)are a credit to you and Martin. It was lovely spending the weekend

with you,and i am pleased you are still coming to the shows.

Give a big hug from me,to the big, gorgeous Blaze.

Amanda and Petexxx

:( So sorry to be reading this news Linda.

I can understand what you're going through, as you know we had similar with Tarn earlier this year, not as serious as Blazes' injury but the same outcome. I hope he has a long happy, retirement with you, best of :luck:
