Greetings to all coursers from Lampingman and Saucey Madam. I must tell you that Saucey is currently injured which will in fact give some lesser dogs the chance of some temporary glory. But make the most of it , she will be back soon.

On an equally serious note, some advice please. I do have an almost equally sensational bitch(no not my wife) who has sustained a cut to her ear flap. It bled profusely and eventually scabbed over. However as she shakes her head and also gets nibbled by the other dogs it reopens the wound. It is due to this reopening that she had to be withdrawn from a stake yesterday. S ome friends have suggested maybe using clear nail varnish and other means to cover the slit but before I do this I would ask for your views. Many thanks as ever.

Lampingman.

Hi Lamping Man, i'd say stick a layer of new skin over it a small bottle will set you back about £1.50 a lot easyer to get off than nail varnish?

But the only problem is new skin only comes in clear? if you want pink or red you'll have to go for the nail varnish,

You might even set a trend? red/white ears to replace the collars :p

Thanks Mark. Can I do the jokes please? I,ll try what you suggest. Many thanks

Lampingman,

New Skin should help, although you should have a bitch-holder around when you put it on since it stings like !#*$! when it first goes on.

I don't know if this is done commonly with dogs, but human athletes use Super-Glue all the time to seal little wounds...it's very similar to the wond glue that vets use. Just don't let your bitch put her head up against anything till it dries!

Ha I used wound glue once from the vets bloody dear and stuck my fingers together hell to get them parted :( , that would do it but new skin lets it breath.

Mark,

I work in an Emergency Department...I can tell you that LOTS of people super-glue body parts together! More important than not touching your fingers together is NEVER TO RUB YOUR EYES!! If you get glue on your fingers, acetone nailpolish remover helps to get things un-stuck. If it's in your eyes, you're out of luck... :(

Thanks to Mark and Fizgig for their help. I would like to post more but typing is difficult now that I have just glued my fingers together!!

Hee hee hee! You should see the damage you can do to yourself with a medical stapler!!!
