Max is now 14 months old, hes starting to show some shape now, he is very quick on bolted rabbits.I,ve seen him catch white tails after a 2 foot course, awesome to watch.Coiled spring ?

Makes for easy ferretting !

He stands at 22 1/2", and the vet has stated hes in very good condition.

To be the owner of hunting whippets was a life long dream, I have not been dissapointed with their performance both in the field and at home as a member of the family.First class pets IMO.

Still amazes me how the lazy sofa hugging dogs turn into hunters.

Like Mark Roberts noted, the dewclaws have not been removed.I pondered the vets opinion, he said to keep them on.Mainly due to the heavy wet soft clay type terrain we have in Herefordshire. The dewclaws always have a small amount of mud on our trips out, so they must be providing some extra grip ?

T&L rossettes from last summer, mainly in puppy class, and overall Best Pair of Show.Blues Brothers.

Good fun for the dogs, abit tongue in cheek on my part, some folk take it very seriously.

Hope your vets right mate and they don't suffer any injuries to them but if they do i'm sure your vet will be happy to relieve you of the best part of £200 to remove them

pups have grown up nice mate, i've been following their progress through your post.

good luck with them for the future.

The Brothers are looking really good, Mike. What a shine on them!

Lovely blues, I can see why they've done so well, especially having a matching pair!

Mine have their dewclaws left on too, I keep them as short as possible and rounded with the theory that they shouldn't grip or catch too easily in the ground but another precaution I use when their racing is to bandage them with vetwrap, it also covers their stopper pads too which can sometimes get damaged.

Hi mike

Fab pics of your boys.Love the fact they are so tall.My blue pups coming feb 5th and we looking forward to it.Will take your advice about letting them be pups and enjoying themselves. I love tall whippets,Jack was 22inches and a real looker.

The pups are 6 weeks old this Saturday and one is bigger than other lol.
