My last post tonight ,was at 7.58 pm.Since then i have been at my mum's house.As there was a bomb,placed in a neighbour of my mum n dad's back garden.And they say the trouble is over in N.ireland.(NEVER)This lady works for the Police,and has had threats on her and her family before.+Her son's car burned out.A police man ,just a few hundred yrds over the road had a larger bomb at his house yesterday.Thankfully none of the two went off,and they were diffused by controlled explosions.When i heard of this from my mum,by phone.I left this thing and made the 9 mile trip,to Sion Mills,where they live,only to be told by the police,that there was no way,that they would let me get to mum's house.Now my mum is 72,and my dad 78.Mum has dangerously high blood pressure,and both are slightly disabled.There was no way,they were stopping me,as the bomb was only 10 yrds from their house,and as far as i was concerned small or not,they should have been moved out.But as far as the police were concerned the only way out was past the bomb.But with me growing up there i knew every inch of the place.I sneaked by the bomb disposal boys,shitting my pants i might add,cause i could have been shot or summit, and was in my mums house in a flash.Problem was ,i couldnt get out again.Both were ok so i stayed there till the all clear was given,after they blew the thing up.So how's that for an eventfull night.Havent even got a dog fed yet.So it looks like there's a new faction of the IRA,or summit,starting up again,and the wife was saying that she read somewhere the other day,that our crowd,have started up again too.So it looks like we are no further forward,in our plight for pease,and a bit of old lamping ,without the fear of getting shot.Cause thats what its been like over here for years.Ialways had to tell the local cops,where i would be opperating,and roughly the to and from,times.So you have it pretty easy over there with only the farmers to worry about. Ilive on the border between North and South,and our wee town,for its population,have had more murders,per head of population than anywhere else in ulster.You will see what i mean,when i do these (true)stories. PS. I will post a few stories of some of the scare's ive had,While out lamping.Some of them would scare the pants of you. ...Billy...
