BONNIE
Little Bonnie is a 2 year old greyhound girlie who didn’t show any interest in the racing life. This lucky girl gets to start her future as a family pet now, and we know she’s going to be a cracker! Bonnie is a small black girl with lots of pretty white snowflakes running through her coat and even a little white ‘heart’ on her chest. She is going to be a gorgeous little thing once she gets a nice healthy shine to her coat.
Bonnie is a sensitive wee girl and needs to gain some confidence in herself. She can be shy and timid of strangers and strange situations, but if given a bit of time to come out of her shell she soon comes up to you for yummy treats and chin scratches. She has just been moved in to a foster home and we expect her to really blossom now that she is in a secure, loving environment.
Bonnie gets on very well with other dogs of all sizes and is a gentle girl. She is also accepting of the resident cat and should be ok to live with cats provided initial precautions are taken while she settles in. She is a real sweet little poppet and loves to be loved. Bonnie definitely feels braver when she’s around other dogs, so we think she would be best going to a home with another, self-assured dog already present who could show her the ropes and help give her that extra bit of confidence she needs.
In general greyhounds are calm, mannerly dogs that are well used to being handled. They can fit very well in to a wide range of different lifestyles and usually adjust to the home life very quickly. Their soft, easy going nature often makes them ideal to live in a family with children, while their love of lazing around and low exercise requirements can make them perfect for the elderly. Greyhounds also don’t shed as much as other more popular dog breeds and this can make them suitable to live with allergy sufferers.
Though not long in her foster home, Bonnie is doing very well and is already housetrained. We will be updating with her progress shortly, but if interested in this gorgeous little girl it would be best to apply sooner rather than later as we don’t think she’ll be waiting long!
Bonnie is currently in a foster home in Co. Kerry, Ireland, and can be transported via Kerry Greyhounds to the UK or Europe if a suitable home offer comes up. This will be organised and paid for by Kerry Greyhounds, and we ask only for a donation to help cover costs. Please note that adopters will need to travel to the Norfolk area to meet and collect her.
Bonnie is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, de-flea'd and wormed and a homecheck will be required as part of the adoption procedure.
If you are interested in adopting or short-term fostering , please email me on tamakin_84@yahoo.co.uk for our adoption application form and information pack. Thanks!
