Not the best of days :( Weather very changable  Hotish one minuite and freezing cold the next (w00t) as you can see from the pic, it was freezing cold when Libbee was in the ring , after the class the heavens opened and we all dashed for cover .

Well done to all who got placed of course :huggles: and just a little message for Quintessence . `things can only get better ` Her Sparky was the naughtest boy I have EVER seen  . and needs to learn whose the boss :- " Im sure today will have been a `learning curve` for her and I hope the help and advice that a few of us tried to give her , will help . By the time Crufts comes round , Im sure he will be the best behaved `Sparky ` there :huggles:

Dont forget , `we were all beginners once ` Hes a lovely boy , but you MUST be boss ;)

Only took a few pics , youll have to wait till tomorrow

you kept your jacket on today then jax (w00t)

WELL DONE EVERBODY

Have you ever had one of those days when you felt it might have been better to have stayed in bed. At 10 am this morning I was thinking that, well more 'I wish the ground would open up and swallow me'. Sparky went to Bournemouth to play and play he did and I just did not have an answer to his antics. Not only did he expect me to play with him, he wanted the judge to join in as well.

When I was leaving the ring at the end of the class it all became just a little too much and I was upset, but straightaway I was joined by several exhibitors who took me in hand and sorted me out.

Tomorrow is a new day and we will start afresh, but today was the day when I really discovered that through K9 I have met people who really do care. To Jackie, Karen and Bridget a heartfelt thankyou.

To Sparky, probably the naughtiest whippet in the world, I love you to bits.

Jenny

Don't sweat it Jen! We all have days like this. When Tiara and Pippin were in the baby class they were the entertainment for many spectators on a regular basis. People would come to watch the baby class just to see Pip & Tiara make fools of me and Jasmyn, and to get their daily belly laugh! :teehee:

But they both came good in time and I don't worry too much about babies who want to play in the ring. When I took Dino down to the National last year he was so excited that he could barely stay on the floor when he was doing his triangle. He knew he was supposed to be gaiting but he just couldn't contain himself for glee at the spectacle and ... all those people! watching HIM! (w00t) He skipped and bounded around the ring and even when he did get into a gait you could see that he was just bursting to break out of it! And of course it is on the commercially produced video for all to see for years to come! :teehee:

Don't be disheartened, keep at it - he hasn't been to many shows and it is very exciting for him. After he's done a few it will become less of a novelty and he will learn what to do ... but as Jax says you will have to be firm, you don't have to be hard, but firm is good.
