As you've read, it was a great day's sport in spectacular surroundings at Henham Park Suffolk yesterday. The weather was kind and the running surface was good.
It was another great event organised by East Anglian Whippet Country Club attracting a good group of runners to contest 3 trophies. PennyPictures as you know prevailed in the Banatay Bonanza Trophy, running away with it in the final in fine style
In the Banatay Bouncer Trophy Ms Bore/Mr Gant's brilliant dog Banatay Bonanza scored a very close victory in the final over Mr Doyle's Hot Amber Belle. The first named also accounted for Mr Doyle's Fire Blade in the semis. So, to use long astablished lure coursing vernacular, Lampy was well stuffed on the day!
No complaints though. Banatay Bonanza is a great dog and we (Bramble) did account for Elgadane Glory of Lynperry in the first round with ease and Surrey Hills the Witching Hour(Bob Blatch Trophy winner 2007) in a close semi, so we had a great day Great company and fantastic sport. Do you need more??
Next meeting in 2 weeks time (w00t)
