panic over, i have just looked at travel news and it is the rail bridge that is closing for 8 days the one in karen,s picture, but hence roads will be busy so set off early

Travel by night is my advice and dont hit the forth bridge at nine o-clock get there for about six in the morning. or you will be sorry

Well one's called the Forth Rail Bridge, and the other the Forth Road Bridge - thats how we usually differentiate :lol:

Road Bridge can hold you up a lot, if there is a breakdown at any time, or roadworks, which frequently there are on weekends. At all costs avoid morning & evening commuting times.

Dependant on your route north your sometimes as well to use the Kincardine Bridge. Hope thats of some use.
