The National BWRA Committee.

Would Like to Commend both the Scottish Region and East Ayeshire Club. For the detail and work put in presenting the first BWRA Scottish Grand National Event.

Many Regions and Organising committee's can learn a lot from attending this event in 2007. The team are already planning how this can be improved and extended into a possible weekend event .

They not only created an agenda of racing that produced some excellent performances none less than from Bally So first ever Supreme Winner of this event with a superb effort from Just friends to take Supreme Dog.

They also added detail in every area.

Track : Superb condition grass cut not to short just right for a safe covering, in the most natural of settings, surrounded by banked trees little or no wind with plenty of shaded areas. See photo shown on BWRA web Site www.the bwra.co.uk

Equipment: in good condition good trap floors no rust in perfect working order. lure brand new with new cord replaced for the event.

Weigh in: No hassle well prepared scales in full view and the person weighing in sticking to the guidelines of the letter 1/4 lb no buts.

Production of the card: on time and racing was off just prior to 12.30

Free food: was provided all day for all members and visitors alike. i say food more like a spead fit for any wedding or party. well done to all who helped to provide the food.

Trophy & Jackets once agian made to a high standard. the presentation was organised while equipment was being stored away. completed on the field all done and dusted for 4.45. included Photos

You would think this region could do no more, but you would be incorrect. In the True meaning of the BWRA Danny and team contacted local papers and any one else that was interested. This brought out old members of the BWRA not seen for years namely Tom McVay from the Thats Magic fame. Pedigree showing and racing folk turned up to watch and asked searching questions of interest. Exactly what we have been saying for years at the national meetings. Take our wonderful hobby outside the immediate circle and attract old and new members back we need them all. If they see the change they will want to return.

Finally this region delivered the atmosphere that i have not enjoyed for a long time.

Great chat, good humour and a willingness to provide. We can learn alot from our friends in Scotland Well done to All within the Scottish Region.

Dont miss this event next year.
