it seems to me a lot of whippets are having large litters (more than 8 pups) these days. Is this a recent trend and if so, why? If I was breeding, I would prefer my bitch to have a smaller litter, say 5 or 6 pups. I'm glad anyway that your bitch and the 10 surviving pups are well.

Congratulations, hope mum is soon feeling 100%

after the delivery :huggles:

Sorry some were lost :( But looking forward to

the pictures of the 10 that you have :))

In the past we have averaged 5/6. Hello Dawn. Hope you and Richard are keeping well. We are keeping 2 bitches at the moment. We still have 2 dogs one of which will be going to a whippet friend in Portugal. The sire, Caruso du Castel Minervois, will be shown in Gibraltar towards the end of September. He is owned by Salvador Roca www.caballoandaluz.net and bred by Yves and Valerie Constant of Carcasonne. The pups are our 6th. generation and will be our last litter as we are feeling the passing of the years. Regards, Mariloli&Stephen
