Just wondering how often you brush your dog's teeth and which dog toothpastes you use?

I have used Beaphar, but currently using Virbac - which seems pretty good.

Not keen using the malt flavoured ones, as they tend to be gooey and sticky!

Have seen one brand though on Viovet called 'PetDent'.  Does anyone use that?  It sounds impressive plus 'polishing agents' too.

Yes, I brush with Virbac, canine dental decay and gum disease is on the increase. However I also give raw chicken wings a couple of times a week which are great for dental care.

Hi Joanne,  I have also started giving mine a chicken wing, but now mainly give a duck neck - have you tried them?  They have a good meaty content on them too.

Thank you @Wotho, I haven't. Are they raw or dried? Where do you get them?

Hi Joanne,

In the freezer department at 'Pets at Home'.  Several in the pack, reasonably priced.  The Pack reads: Raw Chews - Duck Necks.

If you should buy them, let me know what you (and your dog) thinks ....

Thank you, I shall look the next time I am passing!

Raw bones, chicken wings, duck, turkey or chicken necks, are all fantastic for cleaning teeth and general mouth hygene .

Enjoy which ever you choose :D
