Hi eveyone, just got back from Worcester , I think some members have already heard what I am going to post, this is that Bill Hopkins has decided to resign his post as chairman on the BWRA National Committee at the end of this year. One of the reasons is that he now has a dog to run and with both he and I being involved on the committee it doesn't give us much time to sort our own dog for the racing.

I have read Malcoms posting and I for one would be delighted if he was elected onto the committee.

As Malcom pointed out he brings with him a wealth of knowledge about our sport both within the racing rules and also the organising of our major events.

So please can we have any nominations and seconders for the position of chairman sent to me no later than November 14th 2005. This will then allow us the time to discuss any nominations at the forthcoming event on November 27th at Old Hall Miners Welfare Club. The meeting will commence at 11.00hrs.

It is in all our interest that as many members as possible make the effort to attend the AGM as there will be a lot of important issues discussed, and if you are not there , then you cannot put your point of view accross.

I have been given a couple of contact numbers today with the view to staging our championships so as soon as I have any information I will pass it on to the members via the regional secretarys and on K9

regards Doreen

Why do nominations need to be discussed surely if there is a vacant position on the committee whoever is proposed and seconded will automatically fill that vacancy unless there is more than one nomination in which case it will go to a ballot
