Hi Sheila

pups yearlings and vets 150 yds front dog. 1yd / lb all in 2 weight groups up to 24lb / 32lb

Thanks Pauline, but I think you will find that the pups, vets and yearlings are now run in four weight classes.

Sheila

pups yearlings and vets 2 weight classes 24.32 all in clearly stated in w news. yes its 2ftlb all the way through.

pauline it isnt yard lb its 2ft all the way through dont start confusing everyone.

Is it 2 weight classes for pups then or not?

Im not trying to confuse anyone piglet. I did not put the advert in w/news.

But I do hold all the region books with the info in. And 2ft / lb is for the main open

What I have replied is how it should be run. It hasnt been changed at any AGM

So who has changed it to 4 weight groups for pup yearlings and vets ?

Plus the pups yearlings and vets are yd / lb in the records

Are you trying to tell me I dont know what Im doing

pauline the advert is the same as last year if you look in march 2005 w news. then if you look in may 2005 w news you will see the results, they read vets rosies double 2nd striesand, pups Homestar 2nd bewitched yearlings our amy 2nd pilgrims quest. this suggests to me its up to 24lb and upto 32lb. and if you read the first 7 words it reads the days racing over 150 yds @ 2ftlb. it also adds in the report that i did the traps last year and i no for a fact that i wasnt changing 2ft then back to ydlb.

anyway at an open you dont run 2ftlb for adults and ydlb for rest, everyone runs the same unless its scr who run over further. i have never heard of running 2ft then changing to ydlb then bk over to 2ft it would do the trap mans head in. so pauline yes i am telling u, u dont know what you are doing!

Pauline has quoted how the event according to the east midland BWRA should be run, just because the event may have been run wrongly in the past or a wrong advert put in the W/news does not make it the correct way to run the event.

As for doing in the trapmans head, i think most trapmen are capable of turning the marker over from two foot per lb to 1 yard per lb without it doing there head in, you of course may be an exception. I am sure if you look at the running format of this event in the East Midland BWRA books you will see that Pauline does know what she is doing

Regardless of how it should be run/has been run, can someone tell me how IT WILL BE RUN on Sunday, if it is as Pauline say and yd/lb for pups in 2 big weight splits i wont bother wasting my petrol money.

Four pound weight groups was voted in for the BWRA for pups vets and yearlings and to have a four dog final for the Top Gun Competition in order for the finalists to gain the appropriate amount of points I can't see how it can be run any other way?

I cant find any stipulations for regional opens that they have to run in 4 weight classes for pups yearlings and vets.

if you go on the bwra website and have a look at the other regional opens there are also different formats of racing. unfortunately this is something the bwra willl have to address then they can distribute points accordingly.

this open has always been advertised this way from the first year it was ran which is in september 97 w news. this was before yearlings were introduced. the open will still be run as advertised. at the end of the year this will have to be looked into and hopefully we can contact the people who donated the trophy and originally added prize money and stipulated the format for thier open.

look forward to seeing everybody there on sunday.

I wll have the East midlands records with me on sunday for any East midlands member to read if thay wish. Piglet you dont have to be rude I do know what Im doing, read it for yourself.
