Thanks Susan, yes i am wondering myself what has happened to the entries as last year was brilliant June Symmons the chairman has organised the open this year, and if anyone has any comments that would help the Cale in the future ps. let us know.

Hope to see you Sunday Susan. xx

Hi Maggie

A lot of us had planned to come up to your open this year, and make a bit of a holiday of it and catch the Northern on the way home. Unfortunately you decided not to offer National points and it is a lot of expense to travel and not get the points for the league we are supporting. I know you are offering WN Top Ten, but as there are so many opens that many of us will not attend because they are running for Superstars (and therefore should not ban any dog with a WCRA passport), that it is difficult to compete in Top Ten when you only have half as many opens to go to as some dogs will have competed in. National points mean a lot to us National supporters, and I think you will find that had you offered them, you would have had a bigger entry.

I can vouch for the track being one of the best I've ever seen - so its a shame we will not be with you. Whoever advised you not to run for National Points would seem to have made the wrong decision for your club. Maybe we will see you next year. Good luck for your open this time :luck:

Forgot to say that June has been out of open racing for a long time, and is probably not aware of the strength of feeling of the majority of whippet racers. The Northern's entry is also suffering for the same reason :(

i think you should be more careful of your facts before spouting off,our entries havent suffered and i think you will be shocked how many national members will be running at our open from all over the uk.these are true supporters of whippet racing and spreading the good part of the nationals and more likely to get clubs to run for points next season by supporting these opens ,rather than the stay aways who say if you dont do it our way we will stay away.the nationals seemed to have stuck 2 fingers up to anyone north of birmingham.anyway everyone attending our open will be in for a top days racing so who really is the losers not us
