Camping Stopped At Raby Castle!!!!

Contacted game and country fair events office a few weeks ago to pay for camping at Bedale and checked about camping at Raby Castle, was told that there was camping at Raby and to make sure we booked at least a week before so the tickets would arrive in time.

Phoned again on Thursday 02-07-09 to book and was told the camping had been stopped

Spoke with Tom and Carol on Sunday and they new nothing about the cancelling of camping.

Have had no look contacting Alan Tyre as yet but have been back in touch with the events office and they told us that 'the few that had already booked would still be allowed to camp' but they were not permitted to take any more bookings :x

Really dissapointed...but there is always pickering!!!

Hi ScooterD.

Ive had my camping pass sorted for a couple of weeks now but it hasnt arrived. I phoned earlier asking was everything ok at that end, the guy at "events" told me that the passes were sent out today. Now ive seen your post i foned the events again. heres the state of play....If you part of Alan Tyres party and involved with the Lurchers you should be ok. If i was you id fone back and say that you are :b ...its worth a shot .

Its closed doors to publc camping ...thats the bottom line.

we heading up shortly after 5 tomorrow (friday) and it only takes about 30 minutes from our house so should be all set up and relaxed by 7pm...if the wife and i dont start scrapping over putting the awning up :lol:

we will definately come n say hi...may be a bit slurred but it will be hi all the same lol :thumbsup:
