Hi,
I'm a newcomer to this site, as I don't have a dog of my own, but I have a springer spaniel staying with me, and he ate a rabbit yesterday whilst on his walk (I suspect that's he's done it more than once when he disappears in the woods). I don't know whether he caught the rabbit, or whether he found it already dead. Someone later told me that the rabbits have myxomatosis.
Should I be concerned and do I need to consult a vet? He is his normal self, and showing no adverse signs.
Hope someone can advise.
Thanks.
