Started my final nursing placement at Hull Royal Infirmary on a ward that I love and have been offered a job their when I qualify in a few months :D So with this in mind, it didn't bother me that my first three shifts were night shifts (I normally hate night shifts)

It was my second night shift, I was sent on my break to have a little sleep. I was finding it hard to drop off as I was so excited about getting a job on a ward where I really enjoy working and most of all, couldn't stop thinking about the little whippet puppies I was going to visit on Sunday (w00t) So imagine my surprise when I'm woken up by a "buzzing" noise. It's my mobile phone and my bf is telling me that my car has been stolen and has been found an hour away from where I had left it in the hospital car park??!!!! Next thing I know, i'm talking to a police man..... At this point I was wondering whether or not i'd actually woken up yet lol.

In the morning, I rang the police.... there was no record of anything that had gone on the night before??? So I forced myself to stay awake so I wouldn't miss any phone calls etc. I rang again in the afternoon... they said I had given permission for my car to be towed even though they never even mentioned it to me??? They informed me that there was some damage to the front bumper, wing mirrors had been removed and the petrol cap stolen. Great :)) it sounded as though it was still drivable and damage was only cosmetic.

However when I got to the impound... we discovered that the damage was mainly mechanical meaning I couldn't drive it and because I only paid £500 for it 2 years ago, to get it fixed wouldn't be worth it :(

It was my first car and I have to say... i'm gutted (silly i know) I'm so angry at those little thugs who took it just for a joy ride!! They could at least have had the courtesy to leave it in a drivable condition lol!!

Anyway.... I have gone on way to much  Just needed to have a good moan lol.

Love Emma xxx

Oh Emma how horrible for you - so unsettling :huggles: :huggles:

this sort of thing really annoys me,especially when it happens to a hardworking person like a nurse who can ill afford the repairs. im so sorry this has happened to you and all i can say is that i hope that it comes back to bite the little toerags who did this.

so sorry to hear this hun , im sure it will come back on them at some point in their lives!!!

oh emma sorry to hear that :huggles: :huggles:

How awful for you. :( It always makes me so angry when low-life b*****ds like this steal things from people like yourself, who work so hard to earn an honest living.

Really sorry to hear that, especially as it was your first car, my mum had hers down a couple of years ago and it was found up the road, however it had been used on a drugs run up to Liverpool and they had clocked 300 miles in it , she couldn keep it after that

You need the whippet pup NOW to cuddle and take your mind of it

You went to see them at the weekend and are having one?? How exciting
