CASHMERE
Meet little Cashmere. She was dropped off at a volunteer’s house and is now looking for a new home. Cashmere is about 4 months old and is a gorgeous little blue girl. She may a pure greyhound or a greyhound x, we aren’t very sure yet!
Cashmere is a beautiful little girlie, and is doing very well in her current foster home. She is in good condition and is getting on well with the fosterer’s other dogs. It is possible she will be able to live in a home with cats if introduced to them now as she is still very young. Right now
Right now Cashmere is a classic puppy and is in to everything, learning about the world around her. New owners will need to understand that puppies can chew and will explore their environment, so puppy proofing the house will be necessary. We would also strongly recommend taking little Cashmere to puppy training classes so that she can benefit from lots of positive doggie socialisation. Her housetraining is coming along nicely and she is an adorable bundle of fun.
In general greyhounds are calm, mannerly dogs that are well used to being handled. They can fit very well in to a wide range of different lifestyles and usually adjust to the home life very quickly. Their soft, easy going nature often makes them ideal to live in a family with children, while their love of lazing around and low exercise requirements can make them perfect for the elderly. Greyhounds also don’t shed as much as other more popular dog breeds and this can make them suitable to live with allergy sufferers.
Little Cashmere is de-flea'd and wormed and has started on her vaccinations. A homecheck will be required as part of the adoption procedure and adopters must agree to get Cashmere neutered when she is old enough.
Cashmere is currently in foster care in Co. Wexford, Ireland, and can be transported via Kerry Greyhounds to the UK if a suitable home offer comes up. This will be organised and paid for by Kerry Greyhounds, and we ask only for a donation to help cover costs. Please note that adopters will need to travel to our nearest collection point to pick her up.
If you are interested in fostering or adopting, please email me on tamakin_84@yahoo.co.uk for our adoption application form and information pack. Thanks!
