PP so named as she was a "pound puppy" 8 years ago, caught a venomous copperhead snake this week in her day run before it reached the main kennel block. This snake was only a youngster unlike last year's catch which was a fully grown specimen, thank goodness she wasn't bitten on either occassion.
All snakes in Tasmania are poisoness, the specimens being the very cranky Tiger Snake, more placid but just as deadly Copperhead and the small Whip snake.
We are just heading into Summer but the snakes are travelling looking for water as we are in drought conditions in South East Tasmania.
