Is anyone compiling a list of Ch show judges for Whippets for next year??  If so, please could I have a copy.  When husband was a breed club secretary I could get them from the Kennel Gazette   :p but he doesn't get sent a copy now he is the Chairman   ;)   You just can't get the husbands, can you  ???

I Wouldnt worry Caroline, there is only one good one anyway ;)

A good site to get a list is k9events.co.uk. under who's judging what where?

Thanks Claire, that's a brilliant site.

Who are some of these judges????   ;)   For instance, Jean Taylor doing Manchester.  The only Jean Taylor I know of is in English Springers/Cocker Spaniels (fairly similar to Whippets I suppose!!).  Colin Ashmore, Roy Metcalfe ?????????????????  and Marion Spavin doing Dogs at Crufts 2004 - haven't we got more deserving people ACTUALLY IN THE BREED that could judge!!!!

Jean Taylor used to have Whippets years ago, I cant remember where but she gave tickets about 6-7 years ago.

As for the rest well personally I think its quite a poor year for Whippet breed specialist and as you say there must be some out there :(

HI

I know what you mean, I can think of one well known and respected whippet judge ( owner and breeder of many champions) who has not been approached to judge crufts.

Its sad that the exhibitors are not getting a breed specialist.

but you can not have everything, maybe they will impress us all, who knows.

In for a penny in for a pound   :D

The trouble is that it isn't pennies any more just more and more pounds and pounds!!!  And for what at the end of the day?  I don't mind paying my money and taking my chance (and God forbid I ever get to the stage of griping because I only won the RCC) but I would like to have a fair crack of the whip to start with!!!
