We have had molly since she was 8 weeks old, best dog in the world, very laid back, no health problems barring one urine infection which caused her to fit about a year ago. Molly is now 7, having recently been groomed she has started to bark aggressively to be let outside, this has never been the case before in fact she has never really barked at all. This can happen at any time of the day. I have worked her recently and used an over the counter ear infection drop, could these be the cause? Molly is usually kennelled during the day but has been inside much more due to bad weather and my husband not being at work as much. Any advice i would be grateful as this behaviour is so out of character. Should we take her to the vet?

I need a little more info on your girl if that's ok?

Has anything in your routine changed that may have started worrying her?

What's the tone of her bark like? Is it for attention? is she distressed? You will obviously know your dog better than anyone of us on here so you will know what I mean by that question.

Is her bark high pitched, low or growly? All of these signs if you can pick up on them should give us all on here some sort of idea as to what may be up.

Other than the barking, has her behavior changed? is she doing anything that she doesn't normally do? is she eating and drinking ok? sleeping ok?

if you are able to supply me with a little more information then I may be able to give you some advice.

If you are genuinely concerned for your dogs health then of course take her to the vet to set your mind at ease. If not, then hang off until you see what we say on here.

I look forward to hearing from you.
