Poor Tillie, got away with it for so long :- "

The joys of digital scales, i think it was Tony that had his calibrated quite a while after he started using digitals and they too were spot on.

 Bet Tillie is cursing the folk that sold you the check weigh  £5 is a bargain though, might have to have a go with our scales  Worth having at the tracks with you too Lyn :- "

he hasn't got one

yes i have lots of weights all stamped by weights and measures but i did not have a 28lb one i use a bag full of different sizes as that is the only true way to check scales as the weights and measures men will tell you--scales go on the blink at different weights could be fine at 28lb but 29 they could be out thats the problem with digital scales --also a quarter of a sheet of greaseproof paper with alter the weight--

Thats so very true Steve, My trade was a weighing machine engineer and all scales should be checked through all the weights of each machine, It may be correct at 28 lb but a half lb light or heavy at 21 lb.

Nowt heavier than Butchers grease proof paper or their thumbs neither ey Boydie :clown:

A Jewish Rabbi and a

Catholic Priest met at the town's annual 4th of July

picnic. Old friends, they began their usual banter.

"This baked ham is really delicious," the priest

teased the rabbi. "You really ought to try it. I know

it's against your religion, but I can't understand why

such a wonderful food should be forbidden! You don't

know what you're missing. You just haven't lived until

you've tried Mr Boyd's prized yorkshire Baked Ham.

Tell me, Rabbi, when are you going to break down

and try it?" The rabbi looked at the priest with a big

grin and said, "At your wedding."
