I KNOW THAT THERE IS A PRODUCT ON THE MARKET..... SOMETHING BITTER???

STOPS CHEWING! OR HAS ANYONE ELSE USED ANY OTHER PRODUCTS THAT WOULD STOP THIS BEHAVOUR.... PUP IS 8 MONTHS OLD!

Lavender oil!!!

Put 20 or so drops in a spray bottle with some water & spray on anything likely to get chewed, dogs don't normally like the taste of it......it's good for spraying where there's been an "accidents" too

in an emergency, use aftershave! amber never chewed a wire or cable again :D

Bitter apple, there is also good stuff at Pets at Home.

At that age the pup is probably cutting his wisdom teeth, so provide things to chew on and hide your shoes. Whole raw carrots are good cheap disposable and if they actually eat them probably good for them. Might make bit a mess, but I’d rather sweep up chewed up carrot than my remote, mobile etc :luck: .

Also might be worth buying him a Nylabone :)) all my dogs love chewing on them; or those really hard rubber thingys that you can put treats in  sorry cant think of the name of them  :b

He has nyla bones! and raw carrots, and has more toys than a toy shop!!!! especially chewy ones! we have had 5 pups in 4 years and never had one that did this... he has chewed the wall... the wooden door window pane frames... MY GLASSES £258.00 WORTH BOXING DAY! shoes, hats.... his wisdom teeth are through but his gums do look sore... I know they teethe until 18 months... so must try something soon, do treat my dogs like toddlers... make sure things are up high etc.... but he pinched my glasses off the bedside table whilst I was in the bath... my OH did not realise he had gone past the stair gate and up stairs..

hey there this will sound a bit daft but if there is anything my dog would like to chew i rub deep heat rub on it and she aint long and shifting!lol. kelly
