Where do you get your chicken wings from?

And I've arrange to pick up some marrow bones and knuckle bones from a local butcher this afternoon.

Do you freeze your bones before feeding, to kill any nasties?

You can get your chicken wings from your butcher or supermarket.

I always freeze my bones etc before they have them

Great, I can pick some chicken wings up from the butcher at the same time then!!

Do you freeze them too?

And I suppose I should get something for us humans from the butcher!!

You really can't beat getting a nice piece of meat from your local butchers,at least you can have the size or weight you want,i like a nice bit of fat on my beef for roasting as its gives it flavour,i will say my local supermarket do nice joints of pork at a not bad price either, with that nice bit of crackling :p :p

lol when I go to the supermarket it's always the same thing - half a trolley of meat for the dogs: loo roll, bread and cheese for me.

We get chicken wings in Tesco's.......if the foreign clientel (Sp?) haven't them all bought first!!!!! :- "

Hope Austin enjoys them

Ok, excuse the stupid question but just want to make sure I do it right.

I buy raw chicken wings, then freeze them (how long for?) and then just give them to him when defrosted?

Oh and Louiejoe, I'll get some pictures of him eating them for you!!

you do not have to freeze chicken its best to freeze beef as there is a very small chance of neospora which is dangerous for very young dogs or the infirm but your perfectly safe with chicken/lamb turkey etc

marrow and knuckle bones are really for bigger dogs that just want to chew, you need to as your butcher for lamb or beef rib so your dogs can eat the bone if you live near a morrisons supermarket they sell lamb ribs for dogs about 40p a pack they also sell lamb heart which is a usefull food for raw feeders
