Club Racing 03/02/08

Today saw a well-attended first meeting of 2008 despite the bitterly cold and driving winds. The track condition was good and it was great to see every-one again after the winter break. We welcomed a new face to the club, Tom Luton, with his 31 lb whippet, Wesley. The two year old needed no encouragement to chase the lure, and we hope Tom and Wesley will be back next week to build on this encouraging start.

There was a great deal of cooing over the Pollard’s new pup, “Spud”, and some successful trialing for June and Steve’s “Smidge” and Darcia and Rob’s “Chyppe”

Congratulations to Jeff's Sam Fly The Wind .....After winning at Andover last week (though Inca said she let you really ....and though you won by loads it's only cos she let you lol) and now Gloucester this week ....is there any stopping you ?? ...Ethel said she'll sort you :- "

Yes, Sam did brilliantly :D I don't think Geoff really wanted him to win the final because he's lost a half yard of his puppy allowance now!.....not that he needs it, he looked great. The litter looks like it will be as as good as the last one

Well done Jo & Lloyd too, a good way to start the year

And thanks to Lesley too. She did a great job

A huge well done to Sam (Fly The Wind)- what a way to start the season. Looks like he will bring you a lot of fun this year Geoff

Magical Mayhem started the way he finished the last season, in fine form.

Well done to all the finalists

Well done Lesley - a well organised meeting, and thanks to Jo for adding the results here. We had a great time - Smidge is -_- sleeping like a baby - we're making the most of it :D
