We were greeted by a sharp frost and bright sunshine at the Dowty field in Gloucester this week. By mid-day the ground had developed more spring and we were favoured with near ideal racing conditions.

Today saw another busy meeting with visitors from far and wide necessitating running in three weight groups; We ran semi-finals in the light and middle-weight groups.

Trophies were awarded in each weight group, Blue Lady, Citizen And DIY, also the Prussian Cup awarded for Cons winner in the heavyweight group

As you will see from the results, the ‘Shearing’s’ ‘Final Blade' x 'The Real McCoy' littermates were on top form today. Also shining were the littermates from the

What was his name?

Had a great time yesterday. Thank God was so sunny up there or I don't think the track would have thawed out in time. :sweating:

Well done all the winners

had great day at Gloucester nice to see very one, some good close races and nice to see the puppies all going thanks to all that make it possible

Many thanks to Jo for the thankless task of writing up the days racing, setting herself up for criticism for any tiny mistake she may make. ( fellow readers please note: if you can do better, please offer yourself up for the job)

I thoroughly enjoyed the day. The racing was great and the drinks at the pub were such fun, reminiscing about racers of the past with Colin and Tina.

Anyone wanting to race at Glos is very welcome. Please book by 8pm Thurs.

Looked like a good day .....Must say it's great to see Mozza back racing  ...... Whats Gloucester's puppy allowance please ??

12-13 4lb and so on up to

15-16 months 1lb.

Allowance to cease on the day the puppy reaces 16 calendar months of age. A puppy that wins a main final will lose 1lb of its current allowance.

Thanks ..... I was just thinking of Ethel and her age
So are you bringing Ethel this week Hannah? I haven't seen her since she was a wee thing going mad on the end of her lead at Gloucester when she was a pup. She was well muscled for a young'un, and soooo sweet

We won't be there today June as we were lure coursing at the Lancs yesterday :D ....... Shes still a little un at under 19lbs muscles and all (w00t) ....but she needs to start running with new dogs, and a good puppy allowance is always handy :D
