I came across this product on a greyhound site, I've heard of it being succesful for treating wounds externally but I was curious if anyone had used this product internally on their dogs. The poster on the grey site was giving it to a dog that had stopped racing and apparently the dog showed a new lease of life and returned to the track succesfully. ( the dog didn't seem to be showing any symptoms incidently apart from the fact it was slowing down)

When I've mooched on the net, there's a vast array of info (good and bad) and also a side effect of graying of the skin because apparently it can build up in the tissues although I don't know if this is due to excessive use and if it is harmful?

So basically I'm just interested if anyone has used this product, what they've used it for and if it's worth having in my first aid box?

Thanks :)

People use it alot in aviculture, you can buy a machine to make your own it's advertised in the cage and avairy bird newspaper.

I have used colloidal silver on my dogs, my other animals and myself! I think it's fantastic!

I have used it internally and externally, and it is incredibly safe to use.

With regards to the side effect of greying of the skin - that is only likely in cases of extreme overdose! The sort of daft amount of colloidal silver used internally, that no one would consider using! (especially considering the cost of the stuff!)

One of my Guinea Pigs had a grass awn in his eye from his hay, it was right under his eyelid out of sight, I noticed his eye had become cloudy and ulcerated, and then spotted the awn peeking out from his lid. I removed the awn and started putting a couple of drops of colloidal silver in his eye twice daily. His eye was in dreadful condition and I thought it would never recover. However, within a couple of weeks of using the colloidal silver, his eye was completely healed, and the cloudiness gone! To look at him now, you would never think there had been anything wrong with his eye! Marvellous stuff!

I use it myself when I'm coming down with a cold/sore throat. I take 2 - 3 teaspoons a day, and spray some into the back of my throat. It works a dream!

I'll never be without a bottle of colloidal silver in the house!
