Sorry Nigel and Judy i seem to have worded this wrong earlier today and made it seem like an advert. it wasnt meant to be so or im sure Darren wouldve asked me to put on "pups for sale". he didnt..so im not .

im just making a kindve of announcement thats all. all things being equal youve got a couple of the most successful dogs ever to have raced here coming together.

again this is not an advert

GOOD LUCK WITH THIS MATING.

I HAD THE PLEASURE OF WATCHING MADDY TRIAL AROUND WARRICK WHEN DARREN CAME OVER WITH HER ALL I CAN ABOUT HER IS PURE CLASS.

I ALSO HAD THE PLEASURE OF WATCHING MADDY WIN AT CHATSWORTH

A few people have asked me on the phone about Maddy so i have decided to put a post up so i don't have to repeat myself every time. Her breeding is top drawer...second to none....bred in the purple...whatever way you want to word it :D . She was bred by Graham and Mandy Pendleton from a line which has produced a string of champions and is continuing to do so in the non-peds in England. I bought her at 11 months of age and started racing her at just under 13 months old. She stands at just under 23 1/2 " and when she raced at her best was around 46-48lbs. Over a period of 18 months she won everything she entered beating all the top dogs that were racing at that time both unders and overs. It would take too long to list all her trophies. Being mostly interested in racing i only entered her in a few shows and on a couple of occassions she won her class and went on to win best in show. I gave her a handfull of runs around my local greyhound track and her times were incredible. From the traps to the bend without a kickboard she was just under 2 lengths slower that the top greyhounds in the country, these are not graders times but greyhounds that would be capable of competing for national sprint champion titles. People who know me know i'm not a waffler so i havn't said that lightly. I'm sure the likes of Martin Tucker and others who have raced non-peds and greyhounds would acknowledge the above statement as a dog that has a fair amount of early pace :D . Without showing disrespect to others i stopped racing her for approximately 18 months because there was nothing to compete with her and believe me there was a number of dogs who at that time were also very well bred to race but just couldn't get anywhere near her. Her first race back after the 18 month lay off, with very little training, she came second and was diagnosed with a shoulder injury by Brian Jones. 2 weeks later with 1 week spent on the lead and plenty of massaging and a couple of gallops she won the All Irelands for the 3rd time against some very well bred dogs who's names it wouldn't be fair to mention because they were still very young then and only finding their feet. This was sadly her last race as shortly after that she tore her second gracillis muscle. Her temperament is superb but an absolute lunatic when it comes to racing and the power she had was phenomenal...just asked those who helped me when galloping her  , as for such a small dog she could put a few grown ups on their backside when she decided she wanted to run :D .

Sorry this post is so long but it's bringing back many memories. I remember another race up a 300 yard hill in Parkgate were she fell twice and still managed to get up and win the race due to sheer guts and determination.

John you can post a few details about Colt.

ok i dont think i need to say too much on Colts track record but heres what i can remember..

Midland Gamefair Puppy Racing Champion 2005, Pride of the Peaks Puppy Racing Champion 2005, the rest im naming are game fair racing championships that hes won...Ballywalter, Moira and numerous other shows in ireland, in England..Selby Gfair, Kelmarsh Gfair, Castle Ashby Gfair, Tatton Park Gfair, Midland Gamefair, in Wales..Monmouth Gfair.

hes also won around Highgate greyhound stadium at the Manor Lurcher club show and has won several times at Westhoughton Greyhound stadium doing a time of 15.36 without a kickboard. Chatsworth 2003.

The race she got beat was at Moira Gamefair 2005 by Billy Harpers Tara.

She was peculiar and smart in that at almost every race she raced my girlfriend caught her at the lure but the times she wasn't there Maddy would not leave the lure drivers side until i came up to her. There was no worry of her running back down the field with the other dogs. I don't know if any other dogs acted like this but i could be wrong.
