Hi all,

I will move from Germany to England to start a new job.

My dog Linda comes with me. So I need a flat where dogs are allowed but I hardly find something what fits with my budget. :b

My working place will be in St. Neots (Bedfordshire/Cambridgeshire).

Can someone give me informations, websites etc. or does someone knows any person with a dog-friendly-flat in ths area?

Thanks so much!

Kind regards

Thorben

Hi Thorben

Welcome to DogForum :)

I wish you luck in finding a pet friendly place to stay but I fear that you may be in for a very hard time finding somewhere appropriate. I work in GSD rescue and we have to take so many dogs in because their owners simply can't find somewhere to live where they can keep their dog. For that reason it may be sensible to leave Linda in Germany until you've found somewhere for her to live with you.

Hopefully someone will have some local information that will help you- I'm over 100 miles from St Neots so I'm afraid I don't have anything to offer you apart from good wishes.

I'd suggest looking on the Internet at letting agents in the area you are moving too and then contacting them to find out if they have any that allow pets. I actually rent my house out (different area to where you are looking) and my tenant has a large dog. I allow pets but the website of the agent the house was on with did not state it on the advert. It was only when the person enquired that they were told they could have their dog there. I agree it may be difficult as I don't think there's many lets with pets out there. But if you start your search now you may be in luck. Maybe search for a few flats you like and then ask the agent to ask the landlord. Have a look at a website that's called let's with pets. It gives some good ideas to tenants.

Best of luck x
