I don't know if I was being had or whether this true? A friend told me of a racing greyhound who kept coming second in the races. The owner had his eyes checked and the dog was short-sighted, therefore following the dog in front because he couldn't see the hare clearly. They got contact lenses for the dog and he then shot to win, making a lot of money for the owners because the odds were so good for them, the hound having never won before. Could this be true?.
