My nearing 5 month old Dalmatian bitch has started wetting her bed a little during the day. We are always in the same room as her and she is perfectly house-trained and can go all night without a problem. Infact she has only ever had a few accidents in the house until 2 days ago when I noticed this behaviour.

She just seems to wee a bit whilst awake or just after sleeping. We even take her outside after we find a 'dribble' and she doesn't seem like she really needs to go. She does eventually go but i just dont understand why there is only a little bit in her bed. If she was incontinent or really need to go surely she would have a had a full blown wee in the bed.

We took her to the vets but they could find no infections or anything.

Someone told me bitches wet themselves prior to her first season. So could this be why she wets her bed a bit?

Hi, some bitches do wet prior to coming into season .......but at 5 months old I would imagine this would be a bit young for a Dally to come into season (but I could be wrong) ......If the vets are sure theres no infection, then this could be a bit of submissive weeing .......Just ignore the wetting, change the bedding when shes not about etc .....and it should stop  ...... :luck: Hannah .......
