Has any one seen the bitches critique from Northern Counties Whippet Club.

I have read the dogs. I am very interested to read what Mrs Yacoby has to say, I think she had a lovely entry and a tough job on the day.

If someone could scan a copy & email it or type it out if you really want to.

Critiques. It would be nice to see critiques from each show here. Nice to hear how & why a dog or bitch won. Maybe a new area just for comments on the virtues of place getters. & why some were left standing.

A word or 2 from the judge might set it off too. :*

I reckon that critiques should be available after all specialties. It's annoying when prior to exhibiting you understand that critiques will be available and then after the show the days, weeks, and months pass with no critiques coming forth. Perhaps show secretaries should withhold the return air ticket till the critiques are handed over.

Have the crufts critiques finally come to an end? Some poor people must have given up hope months ago.

(w00t) I'll add my two pennorth in here about critiques. I recently judged at 3 open shows 2 for Whippets, 1 for Cavaliers. I did my reports the same day and emailed them to the dog papers and so far none have appeared. This has happened on more than one occasion. When editors have been tackled the response has been, "if they are sent in more than four weeks after the appointment we don't usually print them" from one paper and another was, "we print all critiques that are sent to us". All I can say is that mine must have gone to timbuctoo or are still hanging around that great big server in the sky.

So it really isn't always the judge that lets exhibitors down, it's the media in which it is supposed to be published.

Dawn will probably kill me for suggesting this, but she does such a marvellous job on the results page, might she not consider putting judges critiques on too, if judges were advised to send their critiques to Dawn. Not difficult if they are sent by email. Just a straight forward cut and paste. I can feel the heat from here, [SIZE=14pt]Dawn I will buy the drinks at the next meeting!!!!!!!!![/SIZE]
