I have just been contacted about three whippets possibly whippet crosses siezed from a cruelty case. Apparently they are in a really bad way, they are three of what were 50 dogs kept in a yard in horrendous conditions, many had to be put to sleep. I am getting photos tomorrow. Back yard breeder by the sounds of it. Poor mites

oh no, I hope things aren't too bad and you can get your hands on them to get them out of danger xxx

Keeping my fingers crossed that most of the dogs can be saved. :luck: :luck: :luck:

The nature of some humans makes me ashamed.

I have often had cruelty case whipets. 2 came from SSPCA and had belonged to Junkies who burnt them with cigarettes and injected them with drugs (many of their veins were damaged ) Mouse and Rose lived happily with our whippet family for 5 years and 7 years respectively before passing over rainbow bridge..

I, too, am disgusted at the lows to which some humans sink.

Hope the rest of these poor dogs can be found loving homes and recover from a horrible past.

Hope they string the owner up.

Fingers crossed that you can help these poor dogs. There really are some disgusting people on this earth.

No news yet, I will let you know as soon as I know whats happening

Well I heard back from the lady that was due to pick them up for us, she went down to the pound and all three were gone  They were rehomed that morning. Lets hope they got good homes  I believe they are going back to get the rest of the dogs from this man shortly so we will be contacted when they get them.

Several years ago there was news on tv of some whippets seized in Northern Ireland in a cruelty case. I contacted the USPCA and was told it would be months before the case went to court and the dogs couldn't be rehomed in the meantime. It doesn't sound as if there is going to be any prosecution in this case.
