BITCHES: A lovely entry of 202 bitches, all well presented with the exception of 1 or 2, whose nails and teeth needed attention. What bothered me most was the round bone which seems to have appeared - which spoils the elegance of the Whippet. Your hands should flow from head to tail, not come to a stop over the shoulders. The upper classes pleased me greatly and I was spoilt for choice. My CC and Res CC pleased me very much, beautifully presented and so graceful in movement. I see they are out of the same bitch - must be a good brood then. (Judge - Betty Beaumont)

Brown and Straughan’s Bluestreak Bubbly Blonde. What a constant type this owner produces. Super moving pale fawn who showed her head off. Hands simply flow over her from top to bottom. Head, expression and neck all perfect. Good length over loin leading into thighs of correct muscle tone. Hocks well let down, just the right amount of bone - all perfect. CC and Best of Breed. Was kept in the final cut in the group - well done.

Brown and Straughan’s, Bluestreak Belle of the Ball. Pale brindle. Loked her so much. Gave her the RCC. Free moving, correct sized. Lovely outline. All in proportions. Showed and well handled.

I think Betty did a marvelous job of judging. It must be one of the hardest tasks in the world.

Well done Betty, you are an inspirational woman whom I admire greatly. Your experience is phenominal in all aspects of the whippet. If I had a fraction of your knowledge and experience I would consider myself fortunate. You encompass all facets of whippets and this was your greatest moment. I am proud to know you, I am proud my first whippet is a grandson to Ben.
