well im taking a soft one as im travelling by train and it was very heavy with the metal one last year .

i will bring a benching chain though just in case i get told off :- "

they cant take them off everyone if they tell us off it will be a case of  didnt know sorry, i took one last year and nothing was said.

I'm not, but that's personal choice as I have a packhorse and a trolley. If I was on my own it might be a different story though probably not as I have one who can, on occasion, escape a soft crate.

There was an article that Crufts will be treating it same as every year. So I wouldn't worry about it and if you want to take one go for it.

I'll be taking a soft one as usual! :- " I shall be travelling on my own and what with whippet, soft cage, 4 coffee cakes and all my usual paraphernalia, I really would rather not have to take the metal one!

Could have called him a donkey (well sometimes I do call him another word for donkey) (w00t)

Seriously I'm so grateful for any shows he can come to these days after doing so many on my own last summer. I love him to bits!

Dont worry one bit about taking a soft crate , :- " what do you think they are going to do with hundreds if not thousands of people taking them ;)

That rule has been in the schedule for years ,

i completeley agree with JAX, the rule regarding cages has been the same for many years, there is also a rule that says that the front of cages must NOT be covered and the dog must be visible at all times .....this is another so called rule that has been ignored for years , i think it`s about time the KC put the welfare and comfort of OUR dogs first .

And with that i`ll get off my soap box :- "

Never mind, in a few years Lucas will be able to be a packhorse  . Mine used to charge a gameboy and several large packs of sweets. :D Mind you, they were always well behaved.
