Hello
Over the last few months my rescue pup has developed a dry, crusty nose which eventually began to split and bleed.
After some research I brought the world most expensive tin of nose balm and thankfully, 99% of his nose is now looking great- moist, no splits and no bleeding!
I am aware however that if the balm stops, the nose becomes crusty again immediately and a small part of his nose (under and next to his one nostril) is somewhat red and sore looking.
I took him to the vets on Monday and was abit taken a back by the vets 2 second examination and then 5 minute speech about and then booking of a biopsy under a general!
The biopsy was booked for today but I’ve postponed it for two reasons. One, we are moving house on Monday and my poor boy is already showing signs of anxiety and stress and the thought of adding an op and stay at the vets seemed too much and two, a biopsy under a general sounds perhaps a bit OTT! I honestly went in thinking I’d get an ointment or cream!
I’ve attached a pic and have two questions- has anyone seen/experience something like this themselves and has anyone undergone a biopsy with their pups and have any words of wisdom that may help me
Thank you
