CRYSTAL

Crystal is a 2 year old ex-racing greyhound girl who never took much interest in the racing life. She is a sister of Pa, another hound looking for his forever home and can be homed together or separately. Crystal has a beautiful soft brindle coat that is in good condition and is a very pretty girl.

Crystal is a wee bit more outgoing than her brother Pa, but is still very well behaved and mannered around people. She greatly enjoys getting hugs and chin scratches, and likes being around people in general.

Crystal is currently in a foster home with several other dogs of all shapes and sizes, and is doing very well. She has good dog skills and is comfortable in their company. Crystal has also had her preliminary cat test and passed it with flying colours, so we think she will be suitable to live in a home with cats. This will be tested and confirmed as such before she goes to a cat home, but adopters looking for a cat friendly dog are urged to apply for her now rather than waiting as the cat friendly hounds always get a lot of interest.

Crystal is a well behaved girl in her foster home, and is now housetrained. She is fine to be left with other dogs for company and would do very well in a home with other, like minded dogs present to play and interact with. She walks good on the lead and also likes goofing in the garden with the fosterer’s children.

In general greyhounds are calm, mannerly dogs that are well used to being handled. They can fit very well in to a wide range of different lifestyles and usually adjust to the home life very quickly. Their soft, easy going nature often makes them ideal to live in a family with children, while their love of lazing around and low exercise requirements can make them perfect for the elderly. Greyhounds also don’t shed as much as other more popular dog breeds and this can make them suitable to live with allergy sufferers.

Crystal is currently being fostered in Co. Kerry, Ireland, and can be transported via Kerry Greyhounds to the UK or Europe if a suitable home offer comes up. This will be organised and paid for by Kerry Greyhounds, and we ask only for a donation to help cover costs. Please note that adopters will need to travel to our nearest collection point to pick her up, and if you wish to meet before adopting her, she will be fostered in the Norfolk area.

Crystal is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, de-flea'd and wormed and a homecheck will be required as part of the adoption procedure.

If you are interested in adopting Crystal, please email me on tamakin_84@yahoo.co.uk for our adoption application form and information pack. Thanks!
