Like many whips Finn is a bit of a thief ... unattended food is definitely not safe. This morning my son left the butter dish on the edge of the kitchen counter. Finn was upstairs at the time but his butter radar was obviously working fine as five minutes later he was discovered happily licking out the butter dish. Butter is his favourite thing. His second favourite thing is ice. And I'm defrosting the freezer this morning, dogs safely in garden with my OH ... except Finn's ice radar is obviously working too ... I left the kitchen to fetch a cloth and came back to find him unsticking his tongue from the inside of the open freezer (it's an upright). Poor lad now has an ice burn on his tongue. If only the old wives tale were true and butter really did help burns.

Oh bless poor Finn, they just have to check things out don't they!

Hope he feels less sore soon

Typical whippet, just have to try and thieve things. He will not learn, none of them do. I do hope his tongue is feeling better.
